ARLP005 Propagation de KT7H
Solar flux dipped below 100 last week. Geomagnetic conditions were
stable most of the time, but there was one period around 1200z on
February 2 when the K index went as high as four. Activity should
stay low, but increase again later this month.
WA4TTK has new versions of his popular free solar activity graphing
program, including one for Windows. Watch this bulletin next week
for more details. In the meantime, you can get a free copy by
mailing a formatted MS DOS diskette of any size or format in a
postage paid return mailer to Scott Craig, 409 Jessie Drive,
Nashville, TN 37211.
Sunspot Numbers from January 27 through February 2 were 63, 60, 89,
81, 81, 55 and 52, with a mean of 68.7. 10.7 cm flux was 120.5,
119, 102, 99, 97.6, 94 and 96.3, with a mean of 104.1.
The projection for this week is from the center of the continental
United States to Peter 1 Island.
80 meters should be good from 0400 to 1000z, with the best times
from 0530 to 0730. 40 meters should be good from 0300 to 0930, and
30 meters from 0130 to 1130. 20 meters should be open from 2330 to
0200, and possibly until 0530. 17 meters may be open around 1430 to
1630, and has a better chance from 2330 to 0130. On some days 15
meters may be open from 1900 to 0000. 10 and 12 meters do not look
good over this path.
